# Printer Requirements

This server rack is built around the [standard 10 inch server rack dimensions.](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/19_inch_vs_10_inch_correct_rack_dimensions.svg) As such, printers with bed sizes under 10 inches (254 mm) are not *officially* supported. 

## Official Minimum Requirements

* Bed size (mm): 254 x 200
* Enclosure: Not Required 

Printers with bed sizes smaller than 254 mm at the longest length can still print the designs here by orienting the print diagonally and/or printing on the side. However, this will require extensive supports. I have no plans to personally add support for smaller beds, but I've uploaded the original Solidworks files. **You are highly encouraged to remix and share your edits!**

## Offical Support for Smaller Printers (Work in Progress)

As of April 17, partial support has been added for smaller printers. You can now print the topper with pre-cut parts, joined by M3x4 machine screws.  The use of an adhesive between joints is recommended to increase strength. 

A revamped Cross Brace will follow, which will make the core of the design fully compatible with most 3D printers on the market.
